DES MOINES, Iowa - One of the biggest Republican events of the year in Iowa, the Lincoln-Reagan Dinner, brings one of President Trump's top defenders to Iowa - U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.
"A lot of things are stacked against President Trump, but he'll break through, because the American people are fundamentally fair." Said Graham, keynote speaker at the annual Iowa GOP dinner in Des Moines Friday night.
Graham calls the impeachment a joke and says he believes President Trump will come out on top.
"He's gonna kick their ass." Graham said.
But, he tells Iowa Republicans in the room that the 2020 Presidential race should be taken seriously.
"This is a war. And it's a war worth fighting." Graham said.
U.S. Republican Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst also spoke at the dinner.
