ISU investigates on-line threats

AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State University police are investigating after students were threatened on-line.

An email from ISU Police Chief Michael Newton and University President Wendy Wintersteen says three students were threatened with violence on the social media site Reddit.

ISU says the threats came after the students took part in and anti-racism forum on campus last week.

Police say they've contacted two of the students and are trying to reach the third.

Police say investigators have contacted Reddit in an attempt to identify the person who posted the threat. They also say they want to hear from anyone with information on the person who made the threats.
