Trial Set For Two Charged With Involuntary Manslaughter In Council Bluffs

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - Two people who pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter will go to trial on January 7th.

Court records show that 25 year old Jonathan Echtinaw and 23 year old Carissa Kendall of Omaha were looking for a friend's vehicle that had been stolen last May.

6 News reports the two spotted the vehicle at a gas station in Council Bluffs. Kendall used her car to block the stolen vehicle from leaving. 18 year old Ethan Edgar of Hutchinson, Kansas then put the stolen car into reverse and rammed Kendall's vehicle.

Echtinaw is accused of then shooting Edgar, who later died.
