Argument Leads To Stabbing And Arrest In Council Bluffs

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - A Council Bluffs man is behind bars accused of stabbing another man in the leg.

Around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, police were called to North 20th Street and Avenue C. Two men had gotten into an argument and that led to a physical fight. The suspect took off running. Officers found a man that had been stabbed in the neck and cheek. He was taken to a hospital and he should recover.

Police found the suspect, 39 year old John Zardus of Council Bluffs a few blocks from where the stabbing happened. He was taken to corrections and booked for attempted murder and willful injury.
