2019 WHO News Special: The Floods of 2020

DES MOINES, Iowa - In the final days of 2019 Emergency Management and the Governor prepare people for likely flooding. Again.

The Catastrophic flooding of 2019 in Iowa, and into neighboring Illinois to the east, and Nebraska to the west is likely again. Farms were flooded out, thousands of livestock drowned, homes and businesses destroyed. Entire towns were surrounded by flood waters or left with only a fraction of their population intact.

This special radio news show features multiple reporters from WHO and our sister stations KFAB in Omaha, Nebraska on the Missouri River, and WOC in Davenport, Iowa on the Mississippi River.

Our news reporters seek out comprehensive interviews exclusively for this one hour show, recaps of the destruction of the 2019 flooding, and predictions from Emergency Managers and Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds at the end of 2019 that similar flooding is likely again in 2020.
