DART to give free rides on Caucus night

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Iowa's Democratic and Republican parties are making sure transportation's not an issue for people who want to attend Monday's caucuses in Des Moines.

"We are able to offer free rides on our local and express services after 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3rd to make sure that if people want to get to their caucus sites, they can" says DART's Erin Hockman.

She says this is the first year DART's offered free rides on caucus night.

"We have a variety of trip-planning tools. You can go to our website and plug in the address of where you're starting and the address of your caucus site and it will give you your options of how to get there" Hockman says,

She says DART will also continue to offer free rides on Election Day in November.
