Former Glenwood Employee Resigned due to "Hostile Tactics"

DES MOINES, Iowa - The resignation letter of the former director of quality management at the Glenwood Resource Center has surfaced.

In it, Katherine Rall says her decision was based “destructive and hostile tactics" on the part of former Glenwood Superintendent Jerry Rea.

She was suspended from her position in November on unspecified charges in November of 2017.

Rall believes her suspension was done largely out of retaliation due to her questioning Rea’s practices.

She says she repeatedly warned Department of Human Services Director Jerry Foxhoven about actions by Rea

A lawsuit filed this week from former employees says Rea and others tried to transform Glenwood from a patient care facility into a research center focused on medical experimentation, notably "sexual arousal research."
