Iowa State Fair Concession Owners Charged with Fraud, Tax Evasion

The owners of several Iowa State Fair concession stands will be arraigned Friday after they were charged with fraud and tax evasion.

Police say Lance and Tami Benoit were charged in January and face three counts of tax evasion for failing to pay $30,000 in sales tax over the last three years.

They are also facing four counts of fraud. They are the owners of the two-story Diamond Jack's restaurant on the Iowa State fairgrounds.

A third person, Tricia Behlers, faces an additional charge for charging sales tax without a permit. Behlers will be arraigned next week.
