Suspect in Adams County Attempted Murder Could be in Des Moines

ADAMS County, Iowa - Deputies in Adams County are looking for a man accused of attempted murder who they think may be hiding in Des Moines.

23-year-old Dillon Lester is charged with two counts of attempted murder from a shooting January 12th in the 1500 block of Quince Avenue in Adams County.

Lester is accused of firing multiple rounds at the victims.

Deputies made contact with Lester and a woman he was with the following day, but he was uncooperative and has been unreachable since.

Lester is thought to be in Des Moines but has connections in Creston and Algona.

Adams County Deputies say a vehicle matching the description of Lester's was located in Des Moines later the day of the January shooting, and that it "contained spent ammunition and a blown out back window."

Deputies say Lester has previous felony convictions and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about Lester’s location should call the Adams County Sheriff’s Office at 641-322-4444 or 911.
