Iowa's Three Public Universities Offering Refunds On Housing

Iowa's three state colleges will refund certain fees to students, including room and board in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Iowa, Iowa State, and Northern Iowa announced Monday room and board will be refunded on a prorated basis from when online learning began.

The schools made individual decisions on other fees, including dining and parking. The schools aren't issuing refunds on tuition for the spring semester since courses are still being taught and instruction will still count toward earning a degree.

Credits and refunds will be applied to a student's U-Bill.
