DES MOINES, Iowa- Des Moines Police are looking for a man in connection with a shooting in Des Moines that resulted in the death of a 33-year-old woman.
Police have issued a Material Witness warrant for 27-year-old Antonio Markez Hodges of Des Moines. Police say he often goes by the name Markez, or the nickname "Jon Jon." Anyone who knows of his whereabouts is asked to 9-1-1 or Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa at 515-223-1400.
Police were called April 4th, to the intersection of East 33rd and Kingman Blvd, on a report of a shooting. Thirty-three-year-old Catherine Bobbitt had been shot and was unresponsive. She died at the hospital.
Her death is the city's 8th homicide this year.
