Whirlpool shuts down Amana facility after more positive COVID-19 cases

A manufacturing plant in Iowa County will be shutting down operations for a second time during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Whirlpool production facility in Amana will be closing again due to more employees testing positive for the coronavirus. The facility initially closed on March 24th after an employee tested positive. Officials said there will be a deep cleaning of the facility conducted during the shutdown.

No timeline for reopening the plant was given by Whirlpool.
