Big Ten Conference Extends Covid-19 Pandemic Moratorium

The Big Ten Conference announces it will extend the suspension of all organized team activities through June 1st, and then re-evaluate.

This is an additional measure to the earlier announcement cancelling all conference and non-conference competitions through the end of the academic year, including spring sports that compete beyond that.

The Conference also has previously announced a moratorium on all on- and off-campus recruiting for the foreseeable future.

The Conference will continue to work with medical experts and the schools to determine the next steps relative to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
