Woman Speaks Out After Bloody Fight and Emergency Landing in Des Moines

DES MOINES, Iowa - A woman is speaking out after being on a airline flight where a fight led to an emergency landing in Des Moines last week.

The flight from Detroit from Los Angeles turned pretty scary for passengers last Thursday. The woman, who is from Michigan, says an argument broke out on the flight that turned into a bloody fight, and she says Spirit Airlines employees refused to do anything other than the pilot making an emergency landing in Iowa for two hours.

"They didn't even clean the blood," said the woman. "They didn't deboard. They didn't get us off the plane. We sat on the plane with no air, everyone just baking and sucking in everyone's coronavirus."

The woman says those involved in the fight cleaned up and changed their clothes.

Des Moines Police said they didn't have the authority to make any arrests because the fight took place over Nebraska.

The woman says the flight was packed without social distancing and no one cleaned up the blood. Spirit has given her a refund.
