10 Residents at Iowa Center for Intellectually Disabled Have COVID-19

WOODWARD, Iowa - Another resident as well as a staffer at Woodward Resource Center have tested positive for COVID-19/coronavirus.

An updated chart from the state shows 10 residents and 13 staffers at the center for intellectually disabled people have the virus.

A total of 18 staff members at six centers run by the Iowa Department of Human Services have tested positive for the virus.

The department says the 10 residents at the Woodward Center have been moved to a different house on the campus, and will be eased back into their primary residence as their symptoms improve.

Woodward Resource Center is about 30 miles north of Des Moines in Boone County.
