A Davenport man is facing charges for the murder of his mother. Police say officers were called to an apartment in the 600 block of West 63rd Street just before 5:00 Thursday morning and found 59 year old Victoria Watson unresponsive.
Watson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Davenport Fire Department. An investigation later led to the arrest of her son, Mckinsley Watson.
Police say he lived in the apartment with his mother. Watson is currently in the Scott County Jail and has been charged with 1st Degree Murder.
