West Des Moines enacts dusk-to-dawn curfew

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- The City of West Des Moines is putting a curfew in place.

The city says the mandatory stay at home order for all of West Des Moines is in effect from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

The city says it's order is consistent with Polk County's curfew put in place May 31st.

West Des Moines says exceptions are being made for people traveling to and from work, those who need medical assistance or have a legitimate emergency, or people participating in an official religious observance.

The city says it's curfew will be in effect until Polk County's curfew is modified or terminated.
