IOWA - Theresa Greenfield will represent the Democratic Party in this year's U.S. Senate race. She'll face incumbent Republican Senator Joni Ernst, who ran unopposed in Tuesday's primary. The race could be competitive. A survey in early May from the Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling showed Ernst leading Greenfield by a tight 43 percent to 42 percent margin
Greenfield faced Michael Franken, Kimberly Graham, Eddie Mauro and Cal Woods in the Democratic primary on Tuesday. Greenfield received 48 percent of the vote, with Franken finishing in second place with 25 percent.
