Hawkeye Football Strength Coach Put on Administrative Leave

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa football strength and conditioning coach Chris Doyle is being put on administrative leave.

This comes after multiple former players spoke up on social media about Doyle's behavior toward black team members.

In a statement released Saturday, head coach Kirk Ferentz announced Doyle's leave, as well as an advisory committee made up of former players, current players and department staff. The committee will look at the Iowa football program's culture.

Doyle has been the strength and conditioning coach for the Hawkeyes for over two decades. He is college football's highest paid strength and conditioning coach.
