IOWA CITY, Iowa - Iowa football strength and conditioning coach Chris Doyle denies he ever made racist comments to black athletes in the program.
Doyle commented for the first time after being placed on administrative leave Saturday. He said he was saddened to hear about difficult experiences in the Iowa program and around the country, but rejected claims he made racist comments. Doyle expressed confidence in his body of work and said countless men had benefited from their experiences in the Iowa program.
Doyle released his statement on twitter.
