Iowa ARL Rescues 58 Cats and Kittens Hoarded in Northern Iowa Home

MITCHELL COUNTY, Iowa - The Animal Rescue League of Iowa is asking for public support after saying its Mobile Rescue Team rescued 58 cats in Mitchell County.

The league says it was asked by law enforcement to assist in the rescue of cats and kittens that were being hoarded at a home in northern Iowa.

The ARL says almost all of the cats and kittens have severe upper respiratory infections, fleas and ear mites while some have ringworm.

The league is asking for donations to help treat the cats through its Miracle Medical Fund.
