IOWA - The Iowa National Guard is holding send-off ceremonies for troops being sent to carry on the Kosovo Force NATO peace keeping mission.
Troops are being deployed from Johnston Tuesday, followed by deployments later in the month from Boone, Sioux City and Johnston.
The Send-offs will be closed to the public, but will be streamed live on Facebook.
A formal ceremony for the troops leaving from Johnston Tuesday will start at 10 a.m. at the Camp Dodge Freedom Center.
Subsequent ceremonies for Johnston troops will take place at the Camp Dodge Freedom Center, while send-offs for troops deployed from Boone and Sioux City will be held at each facility’s Readiness Center
