POLK COUNTY, Iowa – A man’s dead after crashing a vehicle into a tree in northern Polk County.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office reports a passerby found a vehicle in a ditch in the area of NE 94th Avenue and Highway 65, which is northeast of Bondurant.
Deputies arrived on the scene at about 7:40 a.m. Sunday, and found a 2020 Kia Soul in the ditch.The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers say the vehicle was traveling southbound on Highway 65 and left the roadway at NE 94th Avenue.The vehicle went into a ditch and crashed into a tree.
The man’s name is being withheld.
