Gun Control Advocacy Group to Launch $800,000 Ad Campaign in Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa - A gun control advocacy group is launching an $800 thousand dollar ad campaign in Iowa ahead of the November election.

Everytown for Gun Safety says in a press release that they're using the funds on digital ads and direct mail campaigns in hopes of electing candidates in favor of gun control to the Iowa House.

The group is targeting 8 house districts, including:

  • HD-09
  • HD-16
  • HD-37
  • HD-67
  • HD-82
  • HD-92
  • HD-94
  • HD-95

This year the group will spend $60 million dollars on 2020 election races across the country, which is double the amount spent in 2018.
