WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - Another Iowa Remembrance Run is in the books.
Hundreds of people took part in the 11th annual run at Raccoon River Park in West Des Moines Sunday.
The final stretch of the 5K featured flags and Pictures of 127 Iowa soldiers who died while serving oversea.
Iowa Remembers is a non-profit that honors Iowan military casualties of war from Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn.
The organization also uses its resources to promote action and awareness of issues surrounding Iowa’s military personnel.
