Iowa U.S. Senator Grassley in Quarantine After COVID-19 Exposure

WASHINGTON, DC - Iowa U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley is in quarantine after being exposed to COVID-19.

Grassley issued a statement Tuesday morning, saying he following doctors’ orders to immediately quarantine while he waits for test results. He says he'll continue working virtually from home.

Grassley, at 87 years old, is among the oldest members of Congress. In his statement, he said he's feeling well and not currently experiencing any symptoms.

Grassley, a Republican, was first elected to the Senate in 1980. He was also in the U.S beforehand for three terms beginning in 1975.
