(AMES, IA) Ames Police are looking for a driver involved in a hit-and-run, that left a woman with serious injuries. Police say the woman was hit Tuesday morning around 6 o'clock in the 21-hundred block of Oakwood Road, south of Highway 30. Police say the woman suffered a head injury, and her dog was killed. Police found a broken passenger side mirror at the scene. It's believed be from a dark gray Subaru, model year 2018 or newer.
