Cedar Rapids Teaming with Grocery Store, Non-Profit to Offer Meal Kits

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The city of Cedar Rapids is teaming up with Hy-Vee Stores and Urban Dreams to offer hundreds of Thanksgiving meal kits for people in need.

The kits will include cans of corn and green beans, stuffing mix, and a voucher for a turkey, fresh rolls and a pumpkin pie to be picked up in-store.

The meal kits can be picked up Wednesday starting at 10 a.m. at the Ladd Library parking lot - 3750 Williams Blvd. SW.

Each kit will make a Thanksgiving meal for a family of four.

Hy-Vee is donating 80,000 Thanksgiving meals across its eight state region in its 260 stores.
