CommUnity in 33rd Year Providing Holiday Meals

IOWA CITY, Iowa - An area food bank plans to serve more than 1,200 warm meals over the Christmas holiday.

CommUnity’s Project Holiday is open to all residents in Johnson County.

Registration for specific meals has ended, but people can still go to the food bank and pick up a meal next week (December 14th thru 19th).

Project Holiday is now in its 33rd year providing Johnson County families with a holiday dinner consisting of a choice of entree, sides, vegetables and other grocery items.

The meals will be available at CommUnity Food Pantry, 1045 Highway 6 East.

Just $25 provides all of the ingredients for a complete, home-cooked holiday meal. Donations can be made here.
