Fourteen Inches of Snow Reported Near Omaha After Winter Storm

National Weather Service 24-Hour Snowfall Reports

OMAHA, Nebraska -- Light flurries in Omaha this morning after a winter storm left behind heavy snowfall across the region.

The National Weather Service reports as much as 14 inches in Silver City, Iowa, near the border.

Eleven inches were reported near Eppley Airfield in Omaha.

Ten inches were reported in Gretna, and as much as 14 in Lincoln.

The National Weather Service says any additional snow will soon wind down with less than an inch expected this morning.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m.
