Iowa Launches New Vaccine Page as Doses Expand in New Phase of Rollout

IOWA - The state of Iowa has a new feature to track vaccinations on its COVID-19 website.

It has a breakdown of numbers of vaccinations completed and contains contact information where people can register to get shots.

The page prominently states the vaccine supply in Iowa is very limited.

Monday is the first day vaccines are being expanded to include people 65 and older as well as frontline workers such as police and firefighters.

The are 95 vaccination sites in Polk County, there are 16 in Story County,49 in Linn County, 35 in Johnson County and 29 in Scott County. The State's vaccination page lists all the vaccination sites with addresses and phone numbers.

The new page shows Iowa has delivered more than 254,000 doses into the arms of people. It does not reveal the number of doses delivered to the state by the CDC.
