Reynolds didn't consult Public Health before lifting restrictions

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds did not consult the Iowa Department of Public Health before lifting COVID-19 restrictions in the state.

Public Health Director Kelly Garcia told Democratic State Lawmakers on a phone call Monday that the Governor made the decision on her own.

Reynolds announced on Friday afternoon that masks were no longer required, and capacity restrictions for restaurants and bars were lifted.
