DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nebraska -- The Douglas County Health Department is receiving 5,000 doses of the new, single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine this week, and plans to offer them all to local teachers.

Douglas County Health Director Adi Pour says the county will also receive over 12,000 doses of the two-shot Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

Pour says 10% of the double-dose vaccines are being reserved for educators.

Two vaccine clinics are being held this weekend to get school staffers vaccinated.
