Teens lead police on two-county chase

AMES, Iowa -- Five juveniles are part of a two-county police chase Wednesday morning that started in Ames.

Iowa State University Police say one of its officers saw a reported stolen vehicle in north Ames.

Police say after the officer tried to stop the car, the 14-year-old female driver took off.

The pursuit, involving officers from ISU and Story City Police, Iowa State Patrol troopers and Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies ended east of Ellsworth in Hamilton County.

ISU Police say the driver is facing juvenile court charges of eluding police.

The four other juveniles who were in the car during the pursuit aren't being charged.
