Iowa Hawkeyes prep for first round of NCAA Tourney

(Indianapolis, IN) -- The Iowa Hawkeye Men's Basketball team got in some practice time today (Thursday) in Indianapolis. Iowa plays Grand Canyon Saturday night in the first round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Tip off Saturday is 5:25 p.m. CDT.

Iowa (21-8) is a 2-seed in the tourney. Grand Canyon (17-6) is a 15-seed.

"The guys are getting a lot of shots up, getting used to the basketballs, the arena, it's a really nice place and we're excited to get our fans in here," said Coach Fran McCaffrey.

The Iowa-Grand Canyon game is in the Indiana Farmers Coliseum, a 6,500-seat multi-use arena on the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.
