(Ames, Iowa) -- The Iowa State men's basketball team has a new head coach.
ISU Athletics Director Jamie Pollard made the announcement that T.J. Otzelberger will become the Cyclone's head coach.
He has previously served as an assistant coach at Iowa State and will take over for previous head coach Steve Prohm, after the Cyclones finished the season at 2 and 22.
Otzelberger will be introduced at a news conference Friday morning as the Cyclones' 21st head men's basketball coach.
