(Des Moines, Iowa) -- Multiple people are hospitalized in serious condition after the Iowa State Patrol says a chase ended in a crash in the Drake Park neighborhood last night.
The Iowa State Patrol says a trooper pulled the car over for a registration violation when the car sped away. A Des Moines man's surveillance camera captured the crash, showing the car hitting a tree at high speeds.
Investigators have identified the passengers as 19 year-old Ayub Mohammed Ali, 20 year-old Osman Ahmed, 19 year-old Yahye Abdi Shakur Muhammed. The State Patrol says 20 year-old Yackhub Ali was driving at the time of the crash.
Investigators say several crash victims suffered life-threatening injuries.
