(Story County, Iowa) -- A Des Moines man is in custody after the Iowa State Patrol says he led troopers on a high-speed chase with speeds of over 150 miles an hour.
The ISP says John Burgoyne rented a maroon Maserati from an app and then never returned it. Troopers say they clocked Burgoyne driving almost 100 miles an hour on I-35 near Ankeny this morning before losing sight of the car after the chase had spanned four counties.
The car was later found in a vacant field in Story County with Burgoyne and a passenger inside.
Burgoyne is facing multiple charges.
