Des Moines Man Accused in Capitol Hill Protest Remains in Custody

(Des Moines, Iowa) -- A Des Moines man accused of participating in the January 6th violent protest at the U.S. Capitol will remain in custody until his next court appearance.

Video captured Doug Jensen inside the U.S. Capitol during the riot. Charges against him were upgraded after investigators found he had a knife on him inside the Capitol building.

Jensen appeared on a video conference court hearing yesterday, and a judge ordered that he'll remain in custody in Washington, D.C. until his next hearing on May 6th.
