Regents announce first of four U of Iowa presidential candidates

(Undated) -- The Iowa Board Of Regents is announcing the first of four University of Iowa presidential candidates. Hari Osofsky of Penn State University will visit the Iowa City campus tomorrow (Monday) and Tuesday. Osofsy is Dean of the Penn State Law School. She will take part in a live-streamed forum tomorrow (Monday) afternoon.

The other three candidates are schedule to take part in additional public forums this month. Their names will be released 24-hours before each forum.

The Board of Regents plans to meet on April 29-30 at the University of Iowa to hear from the search committee and interview the four finalists, with a selection of the next UI president made on April 30.

The next president will replace University of Iowa President Bruce Harreld who is retiring.
