DOT crews clean up 50-pounds of nails from Iowa highway

(Tama County, IA) -- Iowa Department of Transportation workers picked up 50-pounds of nails from a highway this week. A D-O-T staffer noticed the nails south of Dysart in Tama County. Crews used a magnet to clean up the nails on both lanes of Highway 21. The nails were from ABC Supply, but no word yet who spilled them.

The DOT posted these pictures on its Facebook page, along with a reminder to make sure their loads are secure.
