Iowa House passes bill banning vaccine passports

The Iowa House has passed a bill that would ban the use of vaccine passports in specific locations.

House File 889 would "prohibit the mandatory disclosure of whether a person has received a vaccination for COVID-19, disqualifying certain entities from receiving state grants or contracts, and including effective date provisions."

It exempts health care facilities, such as long-term care facilities and hospitals from this mandate.

The bill passed 58-35 and heads to the Iowa Senate.
