(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines police are sharing details about a crash involving a police S-U-V.
Police say a vehicle, driven by a 24-year old man drove onto Hickman Road from a driveway in the 24-hundred block, around 6 p.m. last (Tuesday) night and collided with the police SUV, then hit a utility pole.
Officer Angel Perez, the driver, his passenger, and a pedestrian- suffered minor injuries. Police say the pedestrian was hit by crash debris.
Twenty-four-year-old Ibrahim Lugendo of Des Moines was arrested and charged with OWI-2nd Offense, Failure To Have A Valid Drivers License, Failure To Yield Upon Entering A Highway, Failure To Yield To An Emergency Vehicle.
