Face Masks No Longer Required in Hy-Vee Stores

HyVee

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Hy-Vee is lifting its mask requirement for customers who are fully vaccinated, starting today.

The company says masks are still strongly encouraged for customers who have not been vaccinated, and stores will follow local ordinances in places that require face coverings.

Hy-Vee says it will maintain its extra safety such as increased sanitizing, plexiglass barriers, social distancing markers, and masks for employees who have not been vaccinated.

The stores says masks would be required if a store was in a town that still has mask mandates for businesses.

Businesses have slowly been removing their mask mandates after the Centers for Disease Control announced last week vaccinated people don't have to wear masks.
