Iowa’s Jordan Bohannon Suffers Head Injury in Altercation

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Iowa Hawkeye’s basketball player Jordan Bohannon is recovering from a head injury after the school says he was attacked in Iowa City last weekend.

The university says Bohannon was physically assaulted early Sunday morning and suffered a severe head injury.

The school says he's received medical attention and is recovering.

Iowa basketball coach Fran McCaffery issued a statement supporting Bohannon

“Thankfully Jordan is recovering well after being attacked by an individual he did not see coming at him,” said McCaffery. “We were made aware of the incident immediately. We are grateful that friends who were with Jordan at the time kept the incident from escalating. His health is our number one concern.”
