(Des Moines, IA) -- The Iowa State Fair has started hiring workers for the 2021 fair. Spokesperson Mindy Williamson says approximately 1,500 people including 60-permanent employees are needed to run the fair each year. Applications are being accepted on the Iowa State Fair website.
Current Positions Include:
- Admission Ticket Sellers and Takers
- Barksdale's State Fair Cookie Production and Cashiers
- Thrill Parks Cashiers
- Giant Slide Cashiers and Workers
- Maintenance
- Parking
- Bank Tellers
- Communications Assistant
An open interview job fair will be held July 8 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Service Center on the Iowa State Fairgrounds Grand Concourse.
