Des Moines Watering Restrictions Lifted, One Rule In Place Today

(Des Moines, IA) -- Water restrictions in Des Moines and its suburbs are being lifted, but you'll still need to follow some rules today. The city says customers are no longer asked to reduce outdoor watering by 25%. However, Des Moines Water Works requests its 500,000 central Iowa residential and business customers to continue following the odd/even/no watering on Mondays schedule. DMWW says it lifted stage one of its Water Shortage Plan last week because of reduced customer demand.
