Iowa Restaurant Owner Feeding Hurricane Victims in Louisiana

(Covington, Louisiana) -- An Iowa restaurant owner is in Louisiana feeding victims of Hurricane Ida.

Willie Ray Fairley owns Willie Ray's Q Shack in Cedar Rapids, and headed to Louisiana on Monday in a truck pulling his mobile barbeque shack. Fairley has been recognized nationally for his efforts to feed victims of natural disasters.

After the 2020 derecho, Fairley fed hundreds of people a day in Cedar Rapids as the community recovered from the storm. He also went to Texas to feed people left without power after a winter storm.

Fairley and his team arrived in Covington, Louisiana on Tuesday night.
