Des Moines Performing Arts announces COVID-19 vaccination, mask mandates

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Des Moines Performing Arts is stepping up it's COVID-19 guidelines.

DMPA says starting September 25th all guests going to an indoor performance in one of it's venues must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or results of a negative COVID test.

They also say audience members must wear a mask unless eating or drinking in a designated areas.

DMPA says it's also has updated the Civic Center’s infrastructure to address COVID-19 related concerns. It includes updating HVAC systems with new air filters, adjusting for increased fresh air circulation and adding portable air filtration systems in key areas of the Civic Center.

They say other additions include more hand sanitizing stations, protective guards around concession areas and using touchless transaction options.

DMPA says the new guidelines apply to the Des Moines Civic Center, Stoner Theater, and the Temple Theater for the foreseeable future.
