Gov. Reynolds Recognizes Clean Energy Week in Iowa

(Des Moines, IA) -- Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is recognizing this week (Sept. 20-24) as Clean Energy Week in Iowa.

In a proclamation, Gov. Reynolds says almost 29,000 Iowans work in the clean energy sector and she says she encourages businesses to use clean, low-emitting technologies.

The state of Iowa has about 5,900 wind turbines, which generate about 60-percent of the state's electricity.

This is the fourth consecutive year Reynolds has recognized Clean Energy Week.
